This Affiliate Disclosure explains how Nexura Tech makes money from its insurance comparison content and how that affects (and does not affect) what we publish.
Transparency about commercial relationships is a legal requirement in many jurisdictions and an ethical one everywhere. We want you to read our content knowing exactly where we stand.
1. How we make money
Nexura Tech operates an independent insurance comparison platform at nexura.ltd/insurance/. Our content is free to read because we participate in affiliate programs with various insurance providers and aggregators.
When you click an affiliate link on our site and complete a qualifying action (such as requesting a quote, completing an application, or purchasing a policy), the partner pays us a referral commission. This commission comes from the partner's marketing budget — it does not increase the price you pay.
2. How this affects (and does not affect) our content
This affiliate model affects our content in one specific way: we are more likely to invest editorial effort into providers that have affiliate programs, because we can track outcomes and sustain the business. We may not feature smaller or local providers that have no affiliate program available.
It does not affect:
- The ranking of providers in our comparisons. Rankings are based on coverage, value, claim experience, and other consumer-facing criteria — not commission rates.
- The factual accuracy of our reviews.
- The fairness of our criticisms or warnings. We publish negative findings about affiliate partners when they're warranted.
- Whether we cover a topic. We write about what we think is useful, not what pays best.
If we ever change this approach (for example, by accepting paid placements), we will disclose it prominently and clearly.
3. US FTC compliance
In accordance with U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose that some links on this site are affiliate links. Where reasonable, affiliate relationships are noted within or near the relevant content. This page serves as our overarching disclosure.
4. UK CMA / ASA compliance
In accordance with UK Competition & Markets Authority and Advertising Standards Authority guidance on online endorsements and influencer marketing, we identify affiliate links and sponsored content where applicable.
5. Affiliate networks and direct partners
We work with a mix of direct provider programs and major affiliate networks. The specific partners change over time as we add and remove providers. Examples of the types of relationships we may have include:
- Direct affiliate programs with insurance providers.
- Major US insurance affiliate networks (such as MediaAlpha, QuinStreet, EverQuote, or similar).
- UK insurance comparison aggregators (such as those operating in the comparison space).
- Insurance technology platforms and APIs.
Where the specific commercial relationship materially affects our content (for example, if we have an exclusive partnership), we disclose it within the relevant article.
6. What an affiliate link looks like
Affiliate links on our site are normal hyperlinks. They may include tracking parameters in the URL (e.g., ?ref=nexura, ?utm_source=nexura, or similar). You can see the destination URL on hover (desktop) or by long-pressing the link (mobile).
Clicking an affiliate link does not commit you to anything. You can browse the partner site freely without making a purchase.
7. Editorial independence pledge
We commit to the following:
- We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews or favourable rankings.
- We do not allow affiliate partners to review or approve our content before publication.
- We disclose material commercial relationships when they exist.
- We update reviews based on changes to providers' products, coverage, or reputation — not based on changes to our commercial relationships with them.
- We will remove or demote a provider whose product quality declines, even if it costs us commission revenue.
8. Trademark notice
All third-party trademarks, logos, brand names, and product names referenced on nexura.ltd (including but not limited to insurance company names and logos) are the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion is for editorial reference and comparison purposes under nominative fair use. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these companies unless explicitly stated within the relevant content.
9. Not insurance advice
Our content, including affiliate-linked content, is for general informational purposes only. It is not personalised financial, legal, or insurance advice. Always read the full policy documentation and consider speaking with a licensed broker or advisor for advice specific to your situation. See our Terms of Service for full disclaimer language.
10. Questions and feedback
If you have questions about a specific affiliate relationship, want to confirm whether a particular link is an affiliate link, or want to report a concern about our editorial practices, email us at hello@nexura.ltd. We will respond honestly.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Affiliate Disclosure from time to time as our commercial relationships evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when changes were made.
